I'm surprised that nobody mentioned the reprint of an obscure Twain
letter concerning a hanging in Virginia City. It was seen in my local paper,
the New York Times, yesterday, at Section 4; Page 7 in the Week in Review
section. Maybe I missed a posting and I'm just adding to the world's store
of redundancy, but if not, it is well worth a look. In tone, it will remind
you of the Lynching Bee episode in Huckleberry Finn.
