I am presently working on a seminar paper examining the relationship between
the epic tale of Arthur and his knights and Twain's version in _CY_. I
remember reading that he had originally intended _CY_ to be a more serious
retelling of the story, but I am having difficulty finding a reference that
states that. Does anyone know where I might find this information, if it
is indeed correct?
