Does anyone know, or suspect, who wrote the piece in the/Territorial
//Enterprise/,//insulting Tom Fitch, that caused Fitch to challenge
editor Joe Goodman to a duel?
My (dim) understanding is that the article was not written by Goodman -
was, in fact, anonymous - yet Goodman took responsibility for it and
accepted the challenge to duel...
and that the duel took place, with Twain in attendance, and about which,
he wrote various accounts as to what happened.

Thanks!
