Biographers including Paine and Clara are silent here. Only Resa Willis,
in _Mark and Livy: the Love Story..._, 1992, p. 279, states "Clemens had
engraved on Livy's headstone from the German language they so prized,
"Gott sei dir gnadig, O meine Wonne!'  She could have translated it, 'God be
gracious, Oh, my Bliss!'"
