Just a brief note to the forum on the Alexander Cambell issue.

The Cambellites were the predecessors of the modern day Church of
Christ. When I was going to college at Abilene Christian University, a
Church of Christ college, I frequently performed my one man Twain show.
When I was asked to perform for the Journalism Department's annual
banquet, I used the Campbell story from the autobiography. I thought they
would be amused to discover that Twain was connected to one of the great
leaders of the church. It was a mistake. It went over about as well as
Twain's address to the Whittier birthday bash.
