Hello from the Elmira College Center for Mark Twain Studies!

This year marks the 100th anniversary of Mark Twain's last world-wide
lecture
tour. Clemens, along with wife Olivia and daughter Clara, left Elmira and
Quarry Farm in July and then then traveled from city to city across the
northern United States and Southern Canada before departing across the
Pacific to Australia and beyond. This long and arduous journey by boat and
train across the North American continent is documented through the pictures
and journal of James B. Pond in the Center's publication: Overland with
Mark
Twain.
This scholarly and accessible publication also contains a preface from
co-editor Nick Karanovich and an Introduction and textual notes from
co-editor Alan Gribben.

For the holidays in the anniversary year, we're offering this publicaton,
originally priced at $29 (plus $2.50 shipping and handling) for the sale
