PARTNERSHIPS TECHNOLOGY GAMES TO SHOWCASE HEALTH INNOVATIONS AT PREVENTION
99
In 1999, Partnerships for Networked Consumer Health Information will explore
how communication technology can support consumers and patients in a
partner-based health system. Partnerships '99 will collaborate with several
leading national organizations to reach a wide array of professional
audiences.
The Partnerships Technology Games offer experts, potential purchasers, and
other attendees an opportunity to "test drive" applications within the
context of a friendly, informal competition. This popular event is designed
to encourage development of high quality applications while being both
entertaining and educational. Everyone is encouraged to enter: individuals,
companies, universities, civic groups, and non-profit organizations.
SPRING EVENT:
Technology Games will be featured at Prevention 99: Scientific, Political
and Social Priorities for the 21st Century.
Co-sponsored by the American College of Preventive Medicine (ACPM) and
Association of Teachers of Preventive Medicine (ATPM), this event will draw
nearly 1,000 preventive medicine professionals from diverse backgrounds.
When and Where: Thursday, March 18-21, 1999 at the Marriott Crystal Gateway
Hotel in Arlington,VA Entries: Applications directly related to preventive
medicine and public health are encouraged.
