PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE
Peel Health, a dynamic and innovative Health Department providing public
health services in the Region of Peel currently has two (2) temporary
part-time Public Health Nurse positions available in Mississauga and
Brampton. As an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team, you will be
providing clinical nursing for the street outreach to the homeless.
Success requires: *a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or equivalent
*current registration as a registered nurse with the College of Nurses of
Ontario *knowledge and experience in communicable disease investigation
*experience in psychosocial, mental health, harm reduction issues, TB skin
testing, and hepatitis B immunization *excellent communication skills (both
oral and written)*strong organizational, planning, assessment, and
counselling skills *knowledge of the community and the ability to work
collaboratively with community partners *experience working with diverse
communities *access to own transportation and willingness to work evenings.
