re earlier discussion of the "learning community", some of you may be
interested in the fact that the theme for this year's Annual Conference of
the Community Development Society (Athens, GA; July 27-30) is "Reflections
and visions on the learning community".  There is a conference web site for
those interested in pursuing this further:
