The Final Report from the Western Canada Waiting List Project, entitled
"From Chaos to Order: Making Sense of Waiting Lists in Canada" has just
been released

The two year project is a study of the issues surrounding Waiting Lists
for major surgery in Canada. The project is significant both for its
results, to be reviewed here later, and the fact that the project
successfully included the effective collaboration of medical associations,
academic centres, provincial health ministries and regional health
authorities.
The project was funded by the Health Canada Health Transition Fund, under
the direction of John J. McGurran, Msc.
The final report is 48 pages (including survey instruments), with a
seperate 461 page Appendicies volume.
