The following is an example of where on-line information (including self
testing) will be of use in international health. [I remind those of you
who didn't catch it that the U.S. Readers Digest -August 96- did an
article on the use of the internet to save the life of a woman in Beijing.
The episode was run on TROPMED, one of two sister lists (the other
TRAVELMED) run at York University along with CANCHID - Sam Lanfranco

Subject: Do you have a diabetes risk?

Now there is a simple test available under URL
                http://www.uni-leipzig.de/~diabetes
to test if you have an increased risk for diabetes type 2.
Please try it and send us your experiences and suggestions.
Thanks in advance,
Hardy
