HI4DEV WORKSHOP REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

EVENT TIME AND PLACE:

TIME:  February 28 to March 2, 1997 (Fri eve to Sun Afternoon)
PLACE: Founders College, York University, North York, Toronto

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

Registration for the three-day workshop is limited to 30
participants. The registration deadline is the 14th of February.
Register immediately if you need confirmation in time to purchase
travel at appropriate prices. Registration is first come first
serve with some reserved places for key stakeholders.

The registration fee is $60 per person.

     Registration includes dinner Friday and Saturday, lunch
     Saturday and Sunday, four coffee breaks, and workshop
     handouts, plus a discount on HI4DEV multimedia outputs.

TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATIONS:

Workshop participants are to make their own travel and accommodations
arrangements.

ACCOMMODATIONS:

The Workshop is arranging a conference rate of $79/night, plus tax (single
or double) at the Howard Johnson Hotel located at Keele Street and Highway
401. Please contact the Keele Street Howard Johnson Hotel directly at
(416) 636-4656 and ask for the York University Health Informatics
Conference rate. The hotel is 15 minutes from campus by taxi, auto or
direct bus, and 30 minutes by taxi from the airport

There is a possibility of shared accommodations on campus. Please inquire
with your registration.

TRAVEL TO THE CAMPUS:

Travel time from downtown to York University is about 40 minutes.
Travel time from the airport to York University, or to the Howard
Johnson Hotel at Keele and Highway 401 is about 30 minutes.

The campus is available by public transport on a single metro
(TTC) ticket, by subway (from downtown, the bus or train station)
to the Downsview Station, then by bus to York (Cost: about
$2.00).

>From the Airport:

-    one can take a taxi to the campus or the Howard Johnson
     Hotel (cost: about $35).

-    one can take a bus to the Yorkdale subway station, then the
     subway to the Downsview station and a bus to Campus (cost:
     about $10.00).

-    one can take a bus to the Yorkdale subway station. From
     there one can take the subway one stop, to the Wilson
     station, and a bus to the Howard Johnson Hotel (cost: about
     $10.00)
