Basic Salary: $45,413 at single rate; $48,824 staff member with primary
dependent (per annum net of taxes); Post Adjustment: $13,442 at single
rate; $14,452 staff member with primary dependent (per annum net of taxes).

Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics,
or a related field of study. Master's degree in computer science, business,
or a related field of study.
Experience: Nine years of combined experience in support of end users for
complex computer installations and applications, in the implementation and
maintenance of small to medium size NOVELL networks of LANs and PC systems
and in supporting desktop software suites, of which at least five years
includes supervisory experience.
Skills: The incumbent must possess proven management skills, be able to
analyze network and software requirements from a user point of view, and be
able to take action leading to the timely resolution of anticipated or
reported problems. The incumbent works closely with a wide variety of
management, professional, and office workers and must be able to maintain
good working relationships with users without compromising professional
standards.
Languages: Very good knowledge of English with a working knowledge of
Spanish.

Systems and Services Development (HSP) Essential Drugs and Technology
(HSE).

Basic Salary: $45,413 at single rate; $48,824 with primary dependents (per
annum net of taxes); Post Adjustment: $15,440 at single rate; $16,660 with
primary dependents (per annum net of taxes); Hardship/Mobility: $10,148 at
single rate; $13,531 with primary dependents (per annum net of taxes).

Minimum Requirements:
Education: Postgraduate degree to at least the master's level in
pharmacology with specialization in drug policies and quality control, drug
regulations, drug supply, drug utilization, drug production and
development, pharmaceutical services, or a related subject.
Experience at the national Level: Seven years of operational experience in
the pharmaceutical field, including experience with programs and projects
related to drug policies and regulations, drug quality control, and drug
purchase, storage and distribution.
At the international level: Two years of experience in providing technical
cooperation concerning the development, management, operation or evaluation
of pharmaceutical projects and programs. Experience in logistical aspects
and management of family planning would be an asset.
Languages: Very good knowledge of French with a working knowledge of
English.

CSIH offers Spanish Immersion and Health Study Course
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Canadian Society for International Health (CSIH) is offering an
opportunity for members and others to upgrade their Spanish skills, and to
learn about both health care provision and the culture in Guatemala. The
Spanish Immersion and Health Study Course will be held in Guatemala. It
consists of one-on-one language training, cultural and social activities,
living with a local family, visiting a major health organization/site and a
debriefing meeting. The course costs $1700 for members and $1900 for
non-members. Course dates are:
April 27, 1997 - May 25, 1997; June 29, 1997 - July 27, 1997, and October
19, 1997 - November 16, 1997. Registrations are now being accepted for the

SCSI offre un Cours d'immersion en espagnol et d'etude sur la sante

La Societe canadienne de sante internationale offre a ses membres et aux
autres personnes interessees la possibilite d'ameliorer leur connaissance
de l'espagnol, d'etudier la prestation des soins de sante, et de decouvrir
la culture du Guatemala. Le cours d'immersion en espagnol et d'etude sur la
sante est offert en Guatemala. Il comprend des cours de langue individuels,
des activites culturelles et sociales, hebergement avec une famille locale,

seeks a Program Coordinator for a new school-based substance abuse
prevention program in Moscow, Russia. The ideal candidate will have an
advanced degree in health promotion or health education, experience in

Call for abstracts for international conference on the globalization of
professions

The Centre for Quality Assurance in International Education, the Associa
tion of Accrediting Agencies of Canada, and the Organisation for Economic
Co-operation and Development will co-host an international conference
entitled "Trade Agreements, Higher Education and Globalization of the
Professions: A Multinational Discourse on Quality Assurance and
Competency." The conference will be held in Montreal, Canada, from May 7-9,
