Network Operations will be installing a new version of software in all
of the main routers on both the Keele Campus and the Glendon Campus.
This will take place beginning just after midnight, Sunday morning.
Expect the entire YorkU network to be unstable for about an hour while
the routers are restarted to bring the new software into service.
This software change is being undertaken to help alleviate some
on-going problems with spontaneous loss of connections between Netware
clients and their servers.
Network Operations will also be using this time to move shaman.ccs and
sunburst.ccs onto new Ethernet<->FDDI switches in the CCS Machine Room
subnet. These should changes should be user-transparent and incur
only brief (approx. 1 minute) service interruptions on either system.
