Could you please define what types of activities and topics are
considered as "mental health promotion"?

Are you involved in mental health promotion activities? Do you know
others
who are? The Canadian Public Health Association (CPHA) would like to
hear
from you!

CPHA is undertaking a small project for Health Canada related to Mental
Health Promotion. This initial phase will be completed over the next month
and will result in the:

* development of a preliminary list of Key Contacts who are
knowledgeable and involved in mental health promotion activities across
Canada. International experts will also be identified who have experience
in evaluating the effectiveness of mental health promotion. This list may
be expanded in the next phase of the project, as key informants identify
others working in mental health promotion; and the

* development of an initial list of key resources (e.g., articles,
projects, reports) related to mental health promotion in Canada. This list
can also be expanded upon in the next phase of the project.

These resources could be used as the basis of the next phase of a
project
whereby the effectiveness of mental health promotion could be
documented.

If you would be interested in having your name included in the list of
Mental Health Promotion Key Contacts in Canada, please email me
([log in to unmask]) your name, organization's name, street address,
phone,
fax and e-mail contact information. I would also be interested in hearing
about any mental health promotion projects or activities (and their contact
information) that are underway across the country, and/or of any
articles
or reports re. mental health promotion in Canada.
