Basic Salary: $31,914 at single rate; $33,990 staff member with primary
dependant (per annum net of taxes); Post Adjustment: $9,447 at single rate;

Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in public or business administration;
journalism, language, graphic design, visual communications or a related
field. A postgraduate degree in one of these fields would be an asset.
Experience: Four years of combined professional experience in formal
publication production and graphic design.
Skills: The incumbent is required to coordinate the Division's publications
program and must exercise independent and sound judgment in planning,
coordinating and directing the development of material, the different
production phases, their quality and distribution as well as periodic
evaluation of the Program's impact and/or results. The incumbent must have
editorial skills and experience in automated publishing techniques, such as
desktop publishing, hypertext production (HTML), WEB page design, computer
graphic design, etc.
Skills: Very good knowledge of English and Spanish.

Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in graphic design, design, visual
communications, fine arts, or a related field with specialized training in
graphic design.
Experience: Five years of professional experience in graphic design,
preferably with a design group, advertising agency or publisher. Experience
should include managerial/supervisory responsibility for
the product of a work group.
Skills: Responsible for producing and supervising graphic designs for
posters, slides, brochures, newsletters and magazines for the Organization,
often under tight deadlines. The incumbent must exercise independent and
sound judgment in planning, coordinating and directing DPI's graphics
activities. Assignments require creativity and innovation to visually
portray the image of the Organization. Must possess the highest level of
competence in computer graphics software
and be able to work with a variety of people throughout the Organiza- tion.
Must be a self-starter and have the ability to motivate others.
Languages: Very good knowledge of English or Spanish with a working
knowledge of the other.

CBIE announces CIDA Awards Program for Canadians

On behalf of the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), the
Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE)is pleased to announce
the annual competition for the CIDA Awards Program for Canadians. The
program awards up to $15,000 to Canadians interested in initiating
international development projects. The project may be the fieldwork
component of a master's degree program or a professional work/research
project. Ph.d. research is not funded. Candidates must apply before March

Bureau canadien de l'education internationale (BCEI) a l'honneur d'annoncer
la tenue du concours annuel pour l'obtention des bourses de l'ACDI
destinees aux Canadiens. Ces bourses, qui ont une valeur maximale de 15
000$ chacune, permettent a des Canadiens de participer au developpement
international par le biais de projets individuels. Le project peut s'agir
du volet travail sur le terrain dans le cadre d'une maitris, ou d'un

Teaching Position Available in Latin American Studies

The Latin American Studies Program of Gettysburg College invites
applications from social scientists to fill a one-semester sabbatical
replacement for Fall, 1997. Candidates must have a solid interdisciplinary
background in the economic, social and political history of Latin America.
Preference will be given to those with a completed Ph.D. and teaching
experience. Candidates must apply before February 28, 1997. Please send a

recommendation (at least one of which addresses the candidate's teaching
