The deadline is quickly approaching for presentations for the 3rd Annual
“Information Connection: Implementing Effective Technologies In Healthcare”
conference. It’s the only telemedicine & informatics event offered by an
academic medical center (The University of Vermont) & a top-ten rated
telemedicine site (Fletcher Allen Health Care). The conference is being held
in Burlington, Vt. on January 28-30, 1998. Proposals are due by July 18, 1997.

Themes are:
1) applying technology in the clinical setting;
2) structuring organizations to benefit from technology; and
3) evaluating the impact of technology on healthcare outcomes.

Keynote speakers include:
· former NASA astronaut Lawrence DeLucas, now Director, Center for
Macromolecular Crystallography, University of Alabama;
· Deborah Dakins, Editor, Telemedicine and Telehealth Networks; and
· Mark Frisse, Associate Dean, Medical School Library, Washington University.
