Subject: Simulation models

Hello

I am a community health nurse in Ottawa,Canada. Along with some
colleagues, I am interested in testing the prototype of a simulation model
for undergraduate and graduate students. The model has been designed to
help students develop a better understanding of the complexity involved in
using multiple interventions for injury prevention in community health.

We are currently preparing an instrument to determine how exposure to the
simulation model influences student learning.

My questions for those on the listserv are:

1. Does anyone know of useful references in the community health or
education literature to the use of simulation models in undergraduate or
graduate education?

2. Is anyone involved in similar projects (as yet unpublished)?

Sincerely

Nancy Edwards, RN, PhD Associate Professor U of Ottawa
