-----

To Whom it May Concern,

I'm Neil Schneider, Producer of the Doctors' Online Radio Network.

The Doctors' Online Radio Network is a new experimental service being
offered on the MDLINK Web site (http://www.mdlink.com) via the combined
efforts of The Medical Post, Neil Schneider Productions, and Hoffmann-La
Roche.

Up to now, when medical information is discussed on radio or television,

it is usually from the point of view of a patient. There is very little
- if anything - available for Doctors.

The Doctors' Online Radio Network is a free online radio program
designed to get rid of this limitation. We take pride in being able to
interview high quality guests from all over the world to discuss
important clinical and political issues in medicine. In addition to the
audio broadcast, there are often visuals available to further enhance
the demonstrations or discussions that the interviewees are taking part
in.

To listen, all that is required is a PC (486 DX/66 or faster), a sound
card (e.g. Sound blaster or Windows compatible sound card), and a 28.8k
modem connection. The project is also Macintosh compatible.

You will need to download the RealAudio Player from RealMedia at
http://www.real.com. This software is free. Make sure you pick the
RealPlayer and NOT RealPlayer+ (the plus version must be paid for).

Our programs are made available to the medical community every wednesday

at 3pm. If for whatever reason you cannot listen to the show at that
time, all programs are immediately archived so you can listen at your
convenience.

The topics which have been currently covered (and available in archive)
include:

    - The New Cholesterol Guidelines
    - Financial Advice for Doctors
    - Child Abuse - What should a Doctor do when concerned?
    - Prostate Cancer - Issues and treatments
    - Telemedicine - Continuing Medical Education
    - Organ Transplants - The importance of Organ Donation

The latest program which has been aired this week covers :

    - Cardiology - The differences between men and women
    - 2 Tier Medicine - A mega-debate about 2 tier medicine in Canada

Next weeks topics (September 24th at 3pm) will include :

    - An overview of this years CMA Meeting
    - Female Incontinence
    - Anaphylaxis

In addition to feature interviews and topics, we also give weekly
clinical and industry news reports every week covering medical issues
right around the globe.

For this project to be deemed a success, we need a response from the
medical community. We need to know what works and what doesn't.
