What you suggest is basically true. But shame on any doctor who would
call it a weight management tool. The metabolism is up, the heart has
to work harder, so you burn fat quicker. You also burn OUT quicker---as
in you are dead. So many people think that they can't quit smoking and
start exercising at the same time---its all just too much. The fact is
that creating new, healthy habits makes stopping smoking lots easier.
