Greetings

We are just starting a new Family Caregiver Network to support the
families of those caring for someone with a serious mental illness. This
is operating under the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health
Council with sponsorship by CMHA Victoria County.

We are interested in hearing of other family support networks that are
operating and of your success and failures. Also, if you within the
counties of Peterborough, Northumberland, Haliburton or Victoria and are
involved in any activities (either service providers, volunteers,
community groups, etc,) that would assist us to identify the needs and
possible partners for this project, please contact us at your
convenience. We are also looking for sources of information and
resources that we may find helpful for this project (we are considering
a newsletter of mental health issues, upcoming events, etc. for this
area).
