Center for the Study of Global Change, Indiana University seeks Assistant Director

The Center for the Study of Global Change at Indiana University was recently designated as a National Resource Center for International Studies (1997-2000) by the U. S. Department of Education and we are now looking for an Assistant Director.  This is a three-year position with possible renewal, depending on renewal of our Title VI center grant.  The salary is $35,000 with excellent benefits.  Qualifications: An advanced degree (minimum MA, Ph.D. preferred)with a relevant international or area studies specialization and three
years experience in higher education administration with a focus on international or area studies.  The Assistant Director must have excellent administrative, interpersonal, and communications skills.  Please

Salary Information: Basic Salary: $56,664 at single rate, Post Adjustment: $12,353 at single rate, Hardship/Mobility: $2,860 at single rate.
Minimum Requirements: Education: A university degree in a health related profession and a Master's degree in epidemiology or public health.  An M.D. or a postgraduate degree in a health related profession would be an asset.  Experience:  A combination of fifteen years of progressively more responsible national and international experience in communicable and/or noncommunicable disease programs.  Experience should include managerial responsibilities involving the provision of epidemiological support, the direction and evaluation of programs, and implementation of epidemiological surveillance systems.  Languages: Very good knowledge of English.  Knowledge of Spanish would be an asset.
