Hello Tricia,
The Health Communication Unit at the Centre for Health Promotion has a great resource on how to Conduct Focus Groups at http://www.thcu.ca/infoandresources/publications/pdffg600.pdf. I have used it to organize focus groups for a variety of audiences.
If you area unable to link directly to the resource you can find it under the Unit's Evaluation Resources at http://www.thcu.ca/infoandresources/evaluation_resources.htm#tp
Good luck!

Subject: Youth Focus Groups about Tobacco
Hello,
We are planning to conduct a series of focus groups with youth to get
more in-depth information about their attitudes around: smoke-free
places; tobacco use prevention programs and smoking cessation programs.
Any experiences that others have conducting similar research with youth
would be most appreciated. Samples of moderator guides used to
facilitate the groups would also be appreciated.
Please send any attachments directly to me at [log in to unmask]
Thanks,
Tricia
