*** Attention all dial-up modem pool users ***

Bell Canada has informed us that, sometime during the night, a major
telephone cable was damaged on campus.  As a result of this damage, CNS
dial-up service has been greatly impacted.  Bell's current repair time
estimate is Thursday of this week.   This outage impacts users dialing
from off campus only, residence and other on-campus dial-up users remain
unaffected.  A list of the various dial-up services and their operational
status level is below.

416-736-6056 low contention pool        unaffected
416-736-6965 Faculty of Education pool  available at 10% capacity
416-736-6004 general purpose pool       available at 25% capacity
1-888-677-2111 remote access pool       available at 50% capacity
