                        CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

           International Conference on Emerging Infectious Diseases
                U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

                        March 8-11, 1998
                        Marriott Marquis Hotel
                        Atlanta, Georgia



The meeting will consist of plenary sessions, symposia, and roundtables
with invited speakers, presentations on emerging infection activities,
oral and poster presentations based on submission of an accepted abstract,
and exhibits.  A subset of the panel topics includes immigration and
refugee health and travelers' health topics.  Studies on issues of
migration and population movement, the international spread of infectious
diseases related to migration and displaced people, management of
infectious diseases in migrant populations, and impact of national
policies on migrant populations and travel medicine are requested.

Deadline for submission of abstracts is October 31, 1997.
Latebreaker deadline is January 30, 1998.
