 FORWARDED MESSAGE.........

Date: Thu, 04 Dec 1997 18:11:41
From: Centre for Social Justice <[log in to unmask]>
Subject: ACT-CUTS-ONT-L: invitation Dec 16th

You are invited to:

A Community Consultation on how to "Close the Gap" in Income and Wealth
December 16th, 7:30 PM, Alumni Hall, Victoria College (details below)

The Centre for Social Justice has been granted funding from the Atkinson
Foundation for a two-phased project:

1) to investigate the growing disparities between the rich and the poor,
and identify how we can best communicate this message; and

2) a communications phase wherein we will use a variety of medium to
disseminate this message to the Canadian public.

We are inviting your input at this time to help us define the problem and
decide what message we need to communicate. You can help us to set the
research agenda and investigate various communication options. Providing
the turn-out is sufficient, we will spend a portion of the evening
working in small groups to ensure that your voice is heard.

Later in the Spring, you will be invited to a second roundtable that will
evaluate our message (the results of our research process) and focus on
how best to communicate that message.

Let's work together "to close the gap" -- and finish the evening with a
glass of good cheer!

Date: Tuesday, 16 December 1997

Time: 7:30 pm

Location: Alumni Hall,
          Old Vic Building
          Victoria University
          (Charles St & University Ave.)
          Museum subway/parking on Charles St.

If you are interested, we would be pleased to send you a copy of the
project proposal and our provisional research agenda.
