For those CLICK4HP subscribers who do not have full internet access,
this
posting explains how to use WEB-to-Email server sites.

The service will also be useful when the Ontario Prevention
Clearninghouse
starts to post CLICK4HP material to a CLICK4HP traffic website. At that
time
it is suggested that longer postings be submitted to:
[log in to unmask]
- with a preface asking that they be placed on the web site. Once on the
web
site the author/provider can then post a short abstract to CLICK4HP and
direct
people to the document. CLICK4HP subscribers without web access can then
obtain
the documents - if they wish - through a web-to-email server.

--- How to Use a Web-to-Email Gateway
------------------------------------

Users can test the servers on

http://www.yorku.ca/research/dkproj/labor-l

This information about how to use webmail servers is taken from
Bellanet's Web Site
                        http://www.bellanet.org/

Check there for Current Information Information about Web access via
Email.

As information is increasingly posted on the World Wide Web, there is
still a sizable community of Internet users with access only to email.
Webmail servers are used to retrieve WWW pages via email. By sending
email to the servers below, you can retrieve documents from the
specified web site. Many of these servers also allow access to other
types of Internet tools such as gopher, archie, ftp and others.

The following is a list of current (June 1997) webmail servers, and
links to documents on how to use these servers to access information
(these webmail servers are sometimes unavailable for days or even weeks
at a time without explanation. If you get an error or no reply, please
retry in a day or so):

     Special notes:

*******************************************************************************************************
1.The GetWeb servers above can handle web pages which contain fill-in
forms. Other webmail servers
    do not provide this ability.
2.The email servers listed here are for the most part operated by
kind-hearted volunteers at companies
or universities. If you abuse (or over-use) the servers, there's a
very good chance they will be shut
down permanently. This actually happened to several of the email
servers recently, so treat them with
          respect.

IF YOU WANT TO TEST THIS SERVICE TEST IT ON

WHICH IS A SMALL WEB INDEX PAGE FOR LABOR-L

If you have direct Internet access, let others who are less fortunate
use the email servers. Try to limit your data transfers to one
megabyte per day. Don't swamp the servers with many requests at a time.
