I too agree with John and have been to each conference
since the 1st one.
I would love to know and help with any conference celebrating the
100th anniversary of Twain's death. I don't count this past one as it
as it is tecniquely only the 99th anniversary. :)
Considering that there will never be a 100th anniversary again
for Twain's death, it's a very important date to honor.
this is what my idea of a one conference for it would be:
> A one day conference like the Mysterious Stranger.
>
> Session 1: his death
> Topics:
> NYC
> Funeral
> Last days in Bermuda
>
> Session 2: his accomplishments
> Books
> Investments
> Patients
> family
>
> Lunch
>
> Session 3: his failures
> Investments
> Patients
> Family/friends
>
> Session 4: his passions
> Billards
> Fossils
> Smoking/drinking
> cats
also my thoughts for a session at a conference.
would be 1 paper from his death and last years of his life,
one paper from his failures and one paper from his passions,
kind of a memorial of his life, like memorials that happen
for celebreties in todays times.
all that I have heard is "something" in Hanniblal,
but no details and a hint of maybe something in Redding.
sorry, I'll get off my soap box for now,
but think about it, pretty please :)
thank you!
Yours in service of all things Twain :)
Jules
