This is nothing monumental . . . . but while watching "It's a Wonderful
Life" for the hundredth time last night, I noticed a Twain connection I
had never heard before. Not only does Clarence the angel possess a signed
copy of Tom Sawyer, but the bank examiner mentions that he wants to get
home to Elmira. I had never caught the mention of Elmira before. I
wonder if Capra realized this second connection to Twain?

Does anyone know?

Thanks,

Carolyn RIchey
