probationary period; Division/Program/Office: Special
Program for Vaccines and Immunization (SVI)
Salary Information: Basic Salary: $48,019 at single
rate; Post Adjustment: $11,092 at single rate.
Minimum Requirements: Education: An M.D. and a Master's
degree in public health, epidemiology, laboratory
sciences, or a related field or a Ph.D. degree in one of
the biological sciences with specialized training in
public health, epidemiology or laboratory sciences
oriented to biological products. Experience: At National
Level: Seven years of experience in the planning,
organization, management and/or evaluation of laboratory
research and development, production and quality control
of vaccines. At International Level: Two years of
participation in technical cooperation programs and
activities concerning research, development, production
and quality control of vaccines. Languages: Very good
knowledge of English and Spanish.

CIDA Awards, New Competition / Bourses de l'ACDI,

The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) is
pleased to announce the launch of a new competition for
the CIDA Awards for Canadians. The closing date for
submission of applications is Thursday, April 30, 1998.
The decisions will be announced at the end of June 1998.
The guidelines and application form will be posted on
the Web in mid-February. Distribution of the
documentation by e-mail and regular mail will commence
at the same time.
