In repsonse to Vern's query about email hostility: I think people convey
themselves differently through email than they would face-to-face (myself
included).  At least, I (frequently) hope that's true.  It's easy to
forget (easier for some than others, due to the varieties of
personalities) that there are real people on the other end.  Consider it
road rage of the cyber-highway.
