Ken Burns just received a hefty grant of $530,000 from the Connecticut
Tourism Council for his documentary on SLC, which is expected to be finished
by 2001. The script, by his longtime collaborators Geoffrey C. Ward and
Dayton Duncan, is due in January, and shooting at all sorts of relevant
locations: Hartford, Hannibal and so forth—is set to begin in February.
