Inequality and poverty cause war:
"....... The roots of war lie in poverty: political, economic, and
social inequalities whereby individuals or groups are motivated
to fight to seek redress. War also often has a cultural dimension
related to ethnicity or religion. Stewart (p 342) says that
although all these factors predispose to conflict, a history of
conflict is always a constant factor. ..."
- Data on war deaths are needed
- Children pay the price in Afghanistan
- Post-combat syndromes are not unique to the Gulf war
- Can war be just?
- Asylum seekers who alter their stories may not be lying
- Early diagnosis is key in bioattacks
- Cough medicines are unnecessary
- Post-traumatic stress disorder is common after conflict
- Nuclear terrorism is a real threat
