Research Coordinator
Alberta Heart Health Project

The AHHP dissemination phase 1999-2004 is investigating how the knowledge
and experience of health promotion capacity building can be disseminated
within a health care system that has undergone significant restructuring
and change.

Partners include Alberta Health and Wellness (AHW), Canadian Institutes of
Health Research and the University of Alberta Centre for Health Promotion
Studies and Regional Health Authorities.

Position: Research Coordinator
Status: 18 months
FTE: 28 hours
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities: Reporting to the Provincial Coordinator, Alberta Heart
Health Project, the Research Coordinator will:
• Lead research design and implementation
• Provide research coordination to the project team
• Prepare written research reports, publications, presentations  and
documentation ensuring timely submission
• Manage data collection and analysis
• Liase with RHAs, AHHP Project Team and Alberta Health and Wellness
• Assist students with related research
• Supervise the research contract staff
• Some travel required


Qualifications:
• Minimum Masters level degree
• Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research design essential
• Experience with quantitative data analysis using SPSS
• Experience in Alberta’s health system desirable
