Subject: Canada compared to other nations on social determinants of
       health

The report that you should consider looking at is not the Key Findings one
which leaves out all the health and income inequality and education stuff,
but the full report, which can be downloaded (almost 1 mb), after the
registration hassle, which requires filling in the psuedo-corporate stuff
and then waiting for an email which allows you to proceed.

You need to go to
http://www.conferenceboard.ca first. After the process, you can

then download the second document after you have registered (the first one
looks similar but only has the key findings which don't do much for the
health and education ideas, but are more business oriented), and peruse.
They really do the olympic metaphor well, with lots of Golds (G), Silvers
(S), and Bronzes (B). US is not unsurprisingly absent from many of the
tables, since they only include the top 10-12 or so.

I strongly urge you to look at it.

Stephen
