To a Healthy 2004 and a Copyright Reminder
Dear Subscribers,
CLICK4HP would like to wish you a healthy 2004, with a rich diet of social
justice. The year 2004 should see some minor changes in the operation of
CLICK4HP. In the mean time I would like to offer a word of caution about postings.
This is to remind us that we all have an obligation to respect Copyright with
regard to the re-posting of copyrighted material taken from elsewhere. Unless
one has explicit copyright permission, either secured or embedded in the source
of the publication, only excerpts can be re-posted, under the commonly
understood “fair use” policy. Common practice is to excerpt a bit and post a
link to the source.
If one does not agree with the current applications of fair use policy please
take that up as an independent cause and fight. Under the enforcement rules of
copyright both the poster and the list are likely targets of legal action. The
owners of the list do not wish to be put at risk by the actions of others, nor
do they wish for the list, hosted at York University, to be put at risk.
Beyond that, thanks to all for the excellent, usefull and wonderful information
posted to CLICK4HP in the past year.
Sam Lanfranco, CLICK4HP ListHOST/Co-Admin
York University
