Hello Subha,
Can you tell me what the time line is for completion of the revision of
this resource? Is it normally available as an electronic document on OPC's
website or is it promoted in other ways as well? It sounds like an
excellent resource and we would be interested in reviewing it to
potentially post on the Canadian Best Practices Portal for Chronic Disease
Prevention and Health Promotion as part of our resource/tools to support
evidence-informed practice. Would you mind reconnecting with me once the
resource revision is nearing completion so we can explore how it might be
linked to the CBPI Portal?

Regards,

Kerry Robinson, PhD

Input Requested for Primer to Action Revisions

The Primer to Action is being revised and we need your input!

Primer to Action: Social Determinants of Health
(http://www.opc.on.ca/english/projects/primingaction/index.htm
<http://www.opc.on.ca/english/projects/primingaction/index.htm> ) is a
resource for health professionals, lay workers, volunteers and activists
to look at how the social determinants of health impact chronic disease.
It is intended to help practitioners navigate through barriers in your
organization or group and offer concrete 'primers' to get you going with
action to increase access to the social determinants for yourself, your
family, and those with whom you work. This resource was collaboratively
developed by the Ontario Prevention Clearinghouse, the Ontario Chronic
Disease Prevention Alliance, and the Canadian Cancer Society, Ontario
division, in April 2007.
The Primer is now being revised, and we would really appreciate your
taking a few minutes to help us improve this resource. There are two
surveys available online - one asks for your quick, overall reactions;
the other includes more detailed questions and invites a more reflective
review. Both surveys are anonymous.
