Diversity and Volunteering: Who Benefits?
A day of dialogue at Toronto's Metro Hall

September 13, 2002
9:30 to 4:00 p.m.

The "Diversify the Source, Enhance the Force" (DSEF) project at the
Self-Help Resource Centre invites you to attend a day of dialogue and
learning around the issues of diversity and volunteering.  Concluding a year
long pilot that explored barriers and opportunities for New Canadians
seeking volunteer experience in this province, the day will include

-   Expert panel discussions on diversity and volunteering, including;
    Dr. Usha George, Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto and
    Liz Weaver, Volunteer Hamilton

- "Stories from the Field" New Canadians reflect on volunteering in Ontario
- Lessons learned from the DSEF pilot
- Presentation of new models and tools for diversity in volunteerism.
