Kia ora/greetings
A colleague working for a district health board in NZ has asked about
coding/ reporting systems to management/funding agencies for health
promotion work. She says their current system includes tracking how much
time is spent in each programme plan, broken down into different types of
activities. One system is used for both health promotion and health
protection, but she believes as these are two distinct disciplines,
different methods of capturing the work and the outcomes being
achieved/effectiveness should be carried out.

We wonder if anyone has views on or is willing to share informaton about
the reporting/accountability systems they use. The notion of coding carries
with it quantitative measurement which does not reflect the nature of
health promotion work.

Many thanks for your time.
