The Health Enhancement Unit at the Department of Human Services
(Victoria, Australia) is developing a framework for health promotion for
young people. Taking a view that there is a continuum of interventions
that can be used to promote health to young people, how can this be
translated into a strategic planning framework? Much of the existing
activity seems to be disease or issue specific. In practical terms, how
can more comprehensive approaches focussing on healthy environments
(social, economic etc.) be encouraged. We would love to hear about any
similar work that has been done elsewhere.
