New Release - Obesity in Canada
"Obesity is a complex phenomenon, with a wide range of genetic, lifestyle, social, cultural and environmental factors contributing to variations in its prevalence," according to Obesity in Canada, a new joint report from the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI).
The joint report examines the prevalence of obesity among adults, children, youth and Aboriginal Peoples; presents new analyses of the determinants of obesity using innovative measures; and reports on the impact of obesity in Canada. In addition, Canadian and international lessons learned in obesity prevention and reduction are highlighted.

Nouveau Rapport - L'obésité au Canada
Selon L'obésité au Canada, un nouveau rapport conjoint de l'Agence de la santé publique du Canada (ASPC) et de l'Institut canadien de l'information sur la santé (ICIS), l'obésité est un phénomène complexe et sa prévalence varie en fonction d'un large éventail de facteurs sociaux, culturels et environnementaux et de facteurs liés à la génétique et au mode de vie.
Ce rapport conjoint examine la prévalence de l'obésité chez les adultes, les enfants, les jeunes et les Autochtones. Il présente de nouvelles analyses sur les déterminants de l'obésité à l'aide de mesures novatrices et fait rapport de l'incidence de l'obésité au Canada. De plus, il met en lumière les leçons apprises en matière de gestion et de prévention de l'obésité à l'échelle canadienne et internationale.
