Colleen ... I am not sure which document you are referring to as I don't use
attachments. Perhaps you would like to send me the original message again.

Re: Integrated Delivery Systems ...

You may want to speak directly to the Centre for Health Promotion.
They have recently pulled together ... the Centre for Health Promotions Response
to HSRC (Health Services Restructuring Commission). It was given out at the
Integrated Delivery System workshop that was held on March 5th, 1997.

At the workshop we also received a readings and references kit, which includes a
great reference entitled Health Promotion in Action: A summary of the evidence
on the effectiveness of health promotion. There is also quite a lengthy
reference list included in the kit on Integrated Delivery Systems.

The Hamilton District Health Council's Health Promotion Committee is preparing
material and information to be included in the orientation for councillors. We
are most interested in assisting them to "recognize" the role of a health
promotion approach to achieving population health.

It is also our intention to develop a checklist (easy to use / use someone elses
if developed) that councillors can use to help them make decisions about new
proposals and directions within an Integrated Delivery System. The checklist
would allow councillors to review the proposal from a health promotion
perspective.

On a personal level, I would like to see your paper when finished.

Thanks,
