Many Ontario subscribers of CLICK4HP have recently subscribed to
a new and very different 'list' that is providing summaries, news,
announcements and resources of interest to people involved in health
promotion in Ontario - in a weekly Bulletin. The Ontario Health
Promotion E-Mail Bulletin is sent out on Fridays in a group of 3 e-mail
messages to about 135 people. This list has been developed by the
Ontario Prevention Clearinghouse in collaboration with the Centre for
Health Promotion.

It is free, and open to anyone with an e-mail address interested
in news, information and resources related to health promotion in
Ontario. To join or to leave this list simply send an e-mail to
<[log in to unmask]> with your request. The group list is maintained at
the Ontario Prevention Clearinghouse.

This is a 'moderated list' - contributions are welcome, and are
reviewed and edited before being sent out. List members are invited to
submit news, announcements, articles and resources for posting [send to
[log in to unmask]]. This is an experiment. We are monitoring
contributions and response. The readers define its' value, its' content,
and its' reach. New approaches and information sharing technologies
emerge continually on the Internet. We invite your exploration of the
possibilities.

And now - new, and old, readers of the Ontario Health
Promotion Bulletin may want to take a look at the online archive of
previous issues. Access to this archive requires world wide web access
from the Internet *AND* a java-enabled browser.

The URL for the online archive is:
        http://www1.opc.on.ca/exchange/

You will see the Microsoft Exchange general page. On the right
side of the page you'll see Public Access area. Click on it and go to
Public Folders.
Select the Ontario Health Promotion Bulletin from the list of
public folders.

Netscape versions 3.0 or better will work as will Internet
Explorer versions 3.0 and better. If your browser is not capable, you
will see the following message:

"We're sorry. This Microsoft Exchange Active Server Application
requires a web browser that supports frames and JavaScript, such as
Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 or Netscape Navigator 3.0" . If you see
this message, update your browser. Please consult your own technical
support resources for a solution.

Two points should be noted about accessing this archive.
First, the server will set a 'cookie' back to itself. Let it.
Second, on a dial up connection, there is a perceptible lag in
the display of the selected message. Relax, wait for it and enjoy.
