Dear List Members:

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the
International Development Network (IDN) located at http://www.idn.org/.
Launched on February 23, 1998, this site is designed to serve as a
central location for international development news and information.
Since our launch, we have welcomed over 6,100 visitors from 65+
countries.

The IDN is working to expand the scope and depth of our offerings to
include special topic sections, discussion forums and more. As such I
am writing to you to seek out your experience and expertise.
Specifically, the IDN is seeking the following:

1. Sponsor(s) (or suggestions for sponsors) for a special sections and
discussion forums on development topics.

2. Suggestions and contributions for content and discussion forums.

3. Development Links to be added to our links directory.

The IDN is an independent entity, with no ties to any development agency
or company. We are solely supported through the sponsorship of
individual and organizational members. We invite you to visit the IDN

Good day!

This past week the IDN welcomed Visitor Number 6,100 since our launch in
late February. We thank all of you who who have made comments and
suggestions to help improve the IDN site. The site received a minor
re-engineering which reduces the download time for those with a 28.8
modem by 30-40%. We plan more changes in the future to further speed up
the download time to help our colleagues in countries with slower
connections.

New or updated items this week on the IDN Web Site
