Proposal Writing Contract Opportunity

The Renfrew County and District Health Unit (Eastern Ontario, Canada)
is currently offering a contract opportunity for a consultant with
proposal
writing experience and ideally some background in nutrition. The purpose

of this contract is to design and draft a funding proposal which will
allow
the development of key resource materials for an innovative high school-

based Teen Cuisine program which has been running successfully for the
past seven years in eastern Ontario.

This successful program, seeking to promote the "vitality" message of
healthy
eating, being active and feeling good about yourself in high schools,
has
tremendous potential to be implemented elsewhere. In order to promote
this program more widely, there is a need to complete the development of

background materials, teachers guides and other materials, based on the
lessons learned over the last few years. The purpose of this contract is
not
to carry out the development of these resource materials, but rather to
research and write the funding proposal.

The contractor will have the support of a small advisory committee
throughout the proposal writing task. Candidates must demonstrate
knowledge of provincial, federal government funding programs, strong
writing skills as well as the ability to creatively position this
innovative and
exciting program to potential funders. There may also be opportunities
to
attract private sector sponsorship.

Please submit your Curriculum Vitae and a short letter of intent
describing
your interest in this contract, your qualifications, as well as your per
diem
billing rate. We anticipate this contract to take between three to five
days.

exciting program.
