June, 1997 - Private investors and East Carolina University have
announced the operations of Telemedicine Technologies Company, LLC,
a North Carolina limited liability company. The new company is
positioned to engage in a number of telemedicine and telehealth
activities at regional, national, and international levels. Included
in the scope of the company's plans are advanced telemedicine

of emerging technologies that will enhance and advance medical

relates that the company plans to draw upon the expertise and
experience of several disciplines essential to a successful
"production" telemedicine program. "We plan to work closely

by the innovative teamwork made possible by the joint effort of
private and public entities."
