To the Forum:

A book reviewer, I believe, is primarily responsible for describing
a book, its main ideas and lines of support as well as its author's
approach and perspective. Evaluation of a book follows but should
not take the place of a descriptive analysis--or lead to a judgment
of an author's intelligence.
