Hi Andrea
I had sent Lori some information for her on this - on
DATIS and DART,
and gave her Brian Rush's number to review
material with. I have a
copy of the report, which does include Addictions in
it... I've attached it
here in the file Lori sent me when I asked for a
copy.
Sandy

Toronto Community Health Services Database
Inventory

Earlier in the year, the Toronto District Health
Council (TDHC), in
partnership with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry
of Community and
Social Services, the United Way of Toronto, Metro
Community Services,
Toronto Public Health, and the Community
Information Centre of Toronto,
established a project to explore current
information/database sources
re: community health services planning data for the
Toronto area. The
project was led by the Community Health Services
Database Committee
made
up of database representatives from the partnering
agencies and staffed
by a TDHC planner.

A main objective of the Committee was to gain a
clearer understanding of
the scope and variety of community health service
information/database
sources currently available and the subsequent
strengths and limitations
of these sources. The Committee developed an
Inventory (DECEMBER
1998)
that provides an overview of the scope of
information sources currently
in existence with respect to community health
services - the Inventory
could be described as 'Information on Information'
Sources.

If you would like more information on this project or
would like a copy
of the Inventory please contact Lori Wilson, Health
Planner at (416)
