Unlocking the Truth about Post Partum
Mood Disorders


Keynote Speaker:  Christine Long, B.A.

Christine is the Executive Director of Journey Support Services and the past
Executive Director of PASS-CAN.  She has been actively involved in
establishing programs for families with Perinatal Mood Disorders.  Her main
goal is to ensure that families have access to services they need.

Christine will speak on the many different aspects of Post Partum Mood
Disorder highlighting increased awareness, prevention, and treatment.

A woman's experiences with Post Partum Mood Disorder will also be shared
with the participants.

There will be an opportunity to network.  The networking focus will be
available resources and defining the main challenge of addressing post
partum mood disorders.

This forum will highlight key factors to assist front line support workers
in working with families dealing with postpartum mood disorders.  Front line
support workers may include Midwives, Early Childhood Educators, Early Year
Centre Staff, Public Health Nurses, Doulas, Daycare Staff, Mental Health
Workers, Social Workers, Parent Infant Advisors, Lactation Consultants.
