Pregnancy may relieve migraines
This week is National Headache Awareness Week according to the National
Headache Foundation. The organization and its website focus on migraines
and drug therapy. Migraine is not the usual sort of headache. It is
characterized by severe, throbbing pain on one side of the head. Nausea,
vomiting and sensitivity to light and sound often accompany a migraine...
There is good news for women who have migraine headaches: 3 out of 4 report
that they disappear completely, occur less often, or are milder during
pregnancy.
However, many women have worse than usual headaches but usually not
migraines-- in the first three months of pregnancy due to extra hormones
and the stress of being pregnant...
